1:00 - 5:00 PM @ Hospice Roosevelt Campus A professional make-up artist / coach will assist her professional models in two studios. In return, finished photos will be provided by each photographer for the model's portfolio. Model releases will be available. Jim Goins will setup his light box again for macro photography. Suncoast Hospice Library
"The Suncoast Hospice Library is hosting a book drive through the end of
August. Our goal is to build a meaningful collection of resources for our
patients, families, survivors and community. We are seeking non-fiction
titles in the areas of grief, end of life, caregiving, aging, health,
spirituality, inspiration, and children’s issues. For more examples or to
purchase books in the name of the library please review our
Amazon.com Wishlist by visiting the Suncoast Hospice website at
www.thehospice.org and
clicking on Resources and Service and then clicking on Community Libraries,
you will find the link to our Wishlist on this page. Book donations ordered
from Amazon.com can be shipped directly to the Suncoast Hospice Community
Library. Book donations can also be dropped off at the Libraries or Welcome
Centers of any of our three Community Service Centers."
"We are proud to currently offer two library locations, one at the Roosevelt
Service Center located on Roosevelt Blvd. and one at the North County
Service Center located on Tampa Road in Palm Harbor. It is our intention to
open a third library location at our South County Service Center located on
1st Ave South in St. Petersburg very soon. We invite everyone to visit one
of our libraries and see for yourself all of the resources we offer. The
libraries are open to everyone in the community to utilize free of charge so
spread the word."

Adobe Photoshop CS5: The Videos
Here is a collection of videos on some of the new features found in Adobe
Photoshop CS5.
Some of the new features/improvements are: content aware fill, intelligent
spot healing, pattern matching, painting,
better edge detection and masking, layer styles and preferences, and puppet
warping (extended version).

The Naples Digital Photography Club will host
a statewide Convention.
Theme: The Nature of Photography
Dates: November 6-7, 2010
Place: Edison State College, Naples, FL
In keeping with the theme, "The Nature of
Photography,"
the keynote speaker will be internationally recognized photographer and
conservationist Clyde Butcher.
In addition, Clyde will lead the Everglades Adventure workshop on November
6th.
